San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Longtime San Diego Chargers offensive lineman Jeromey Clary announced his retirement from the NFL Thursday due to chronic hip injuries. Clary missed the entire 2014 season while recovering from a pair of surgeries to his hips. The 31-year-old played his entire nine-year career with San Diego and was a part of five Charger teams that reached the playoffs. Clary started 93 regular-season games for the Bolts, most at right tackle before moving to right guard for the 2013 season. Clary joined the Chargers as a sixth-round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft and spent his rookie season on the practice squad before making the active roster the following year. The Kansas State product then started 87 of the teams 96 games from 2008-13.
